Kingpin has been cast for Netfilx Daredevilcomment_here

Vincent D'Onofrio are the Kingpin in Netfilx Daredevil.

Vincent D'Onofrio has been cast as the Kingpin in the upcoming 13-episode "Daredevil" Netflix series, Marvel announced on Tuesday. D'Onofrio is the second actor announced for the show, following Charlie Cox in the lead role of Matt Murdock aka. Daredevil. He’s been known to fans for a while as an excellent actor during daytime tv, as well as several supporting roles with his resume spread across a wide pallet.

He played Detective Robert Goren throughout much of the 10-season run of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent." He has prior experience with live-action comic book adaptations, as well playing Edgar in the original 1997 "Men in Black" film.  When talking about D’Onofrio taking the role as the Kingpin marvel had this to say:

"We're incredibly proud to have an actor with the gravitas and versatility of Vincent joining 'Marvel's Daredevil' in such an integral role." "Wilson Fisk is an iconic villain whose cunning and power make him the dangerous equal of our hero."

Jeph Loeb, Marvel's Head of Television

The character has been portrayed in live-action twice before, most notably by the late Michael Clarke Duncan in the critically acclaimed 2003 Daredevil film. In the 1989 TV movie The Trial of the Incredible Hulk, the Kingpin was played by John Rhys-Davies. A lot of fans aren’t too happy with the choice for the Kingpin, however depending upon what story arc we see, it could work out quite well.

Daredevil is slated to start production in New York City this summer, and premiere exclusively on Netflix in 2015. Steven S. DeKnight will be the front man, with Drew Goddard serving as executive producer, and writing the first two episodes. It's the first of five Marvel series set to debut on the streaming service, including Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage, culminating into a Defenders miniseries.

Maybe we can even get a Spider-Man series, and possibly an Avengers one, as Avengers 2 and Iron Man 4, are still being thought of by Marvel, and with them wanting to expand their horizons on the X-men property; things are looking pretty heavy. Hopefully we’ll see them do something with lesser known characters, and a few lost ones such as a Blade reboot, or a Jubilee spin off.
