Guardians of the Galaxy - Marvel + Vin Diesel = True!

guardians of the galaxy
Hmm, i wonder when Guardians of the Galaxy will be released in Sweden?

There seems to be no end to the ever ending lineup of Marvel movies. Honestly, i have lost count of all the Marvel inspired movies that´s been release over the past 6-7 years. Some of them are really good though, so i don´t complain.

But ever time i hear about a new Marvel movie. I just think for myself "Will it be something that i haven't already seen a million times before. Or will it really be something new?". And i´m having that same exact thought right now.

Cuz just in case you haven't heard it already. "Guardians of the Galaxy" are set for a release this summer (The 1th of August in the States). Me, it caught my eye because Vin Diesel and Zoe Saldana stars in it (im a big fan of both of them).

And due the fact that James Gunn (Lollipop Chainsaw, Dawn of the Dead, Thor: The Dark World) and Kevin Feige (The X-Men movies, Iron Man 1-3, Spider-Man 1-3) are working on Guardians of the Galaxy.

The movie might actually become really great in the end. I guess that we have to wait for the summer to find out. But until then, enjoy the trailer!

About Guardians of the Galaxy:
"From Marvel, the studio that brought you the global blockbuster franchises of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers, comes a new team—the Guardians of the Galaxy. An action-packed, epic space adventure, Marvel's “Guardians of the Galaxy” expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe.

To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits—Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand—with the galaxy's fate in the balance."

The Terminator the 30th anniversary

Mr Arnold Schwarzenegger as the Terminator.

1984, that´s a very special year for me. Cuz not only was it the year i was born. It also happens to be the year that James Cameron released the very first The Terminator movie. Of course, i didn't watch it back in 1984 (cuz i was just a infent at that time).

But but around 1995 i did. And that movie just blow me away. So i´m kind of surprised about the fact that no one has even mentioned, anything about a 30th anniversary for The Terminator. Cuz on the 26th of October this year. It´s been exactly 30 years since The Terminator had it's world premiere.

So i sure hope that something special will happen in the name of The Terminator this year. Cuz i love that movie. And T2 are even better imo. Time will tell i guess.

The Walking Dead - Daryl Dixon Tribute

daryl dixon tribute
Mr Daryl Dixon, with a knife in his hand.

Imo, there´s no doubt (whatsoever) whom the big star of The Walking Dead crew would be. Yes, that´s right. Im of course talking about Daryl Dixon (played by Norman Reedus). Why? Well, for those whome has watched TWD since the very start.

It´s quite obvious why Daryl Dixon are nr 1. His a bad ass, and his the kind of person that  get´s the job done (no matter the costs). Let´s just say that i would pick Daryl Dixon in the blink of an eye for my team, IF, there were a zombie apocalypse taking place irl.

So i just find it rather suiting (and the timing couldn'tbe better) that i just found out about Chad W´s Daryl Dixon Tribute video. Me, i really liked it (AC/DC + TWD + Daryl Dixon = Epic win!). So, enjoy boys and girls!

From Dusk Till Dawn - The Series

The show will only air on the El Rey network (it starts on the 11th of March).

Well i'll be damned. There will actually be a tv-series based on Quentin Tarantino´s and Robert Rodríguez "Dusk Till Dawn" (the first movie was released back in 1996). That came as a very pleasant surprise so i must say. Cuz i love the movie series. And i think it´s about damn time that someone made a "real" vampire series.

Becouse let´s face it. 99% of todays vampire movies and series are pure fu**ing crap. Either it´s softporn for women, or some romance bullshit. But thankfully enough. The From Dusk Till Dawn tv-series, seems to be nothing like that.

At least that´s the picture i´ve got from the trailer (a lot of action, blood and gunfights). Not much are known about the script though. The only thing that´s know to date (as far as i know). Is that a Texas Ranger (no, not Chuck Norris im afraid) is in hot pursuit of the infamous Gecko brothers.

But that´s it. Me, im just wondering if From Dusk Till Dawn will air in Sweden. I sure hope so!

Todd the zombie - The zombie version of The IT Crowd

Will Todd make It through another day as the IT guy at the office?

I have always liked the IT Crowd series. Cuz the humor, the characters (Roy and Moss especially) and the jokes. I also digg the whole IT/Geek concept (Cuz Im a Geek/Gamer myself). I could also relate quite a lot to the show.

Mainly cuz I have always been that guy that fixes all the computer and hardware related problems. Anyhow, earlier today I heard about a similar show called "Todd the zombie". But Todd are a cartoon series (C64 graphics) on Youtube, and Todd just happens to be a zombie (a IT guy/zombie).

I just watched the very first episode of Todd the zombie, and I found It to be freaking hilarious. So check It out people!

About Todd the zombie:
"Enter Todd, a zombie IT guy working for a major corporation. Watch him go through his day to day business trying to survive in a company with demons, incompentant managers and the worlds most idiotic employees.

Watch this, the pilot episode and see Todds humble beginnings. Created solely by the series creator Gax.

Warning! Contains extreme geekiness and zombies!"

Dawn of the planet of the apes - All hail Caesar!

dawn of the planet of the apes
Caesar ain´t that happy to see us (humans).

I can´t really say that my trust In the "Planet of the apes" series are all that high. Especially not after Tim Burton´s  Planet of the Apes from 2001 (Mark Wahlberg). But at least Rupert Wyatt´s "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" from 2011 (James Franco, Andy Serkis), did a whole lot better than the 2001 movie.

But still, I just feelt "meh" after that I had watched Rise of the Planet of the Apes. So I don´t really know what I should feel (or expect) from Matt Reeves (Let Me In, The Yards) "Dawn of the planet of the apes". But, due the fact that Gary Oldman stars In the movie (as some kind of leader for the humans).

Im going to give the movie a go. Cuz I love most of the movies that Gary Oldman has stared In. I´ll have to wait quite a while to see Dawn of the planet of the apes though. Because the movie are set for a 11th of July release In USA.

So "hopefully", the movie will be released In Sweden around that time as well. Cuz I really wanna se who wins between Caesar and Gary Oldman!

About Dawn of the planet of the apes:
"A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth's dominant species."
